The Denver Center for the Performing Arts contains ten separate performance spaces that total nearly 10,000 seats combined. The Boettcher Concert Hall was America's first theater-in-the-round and is home to the Colorado Symphony Orchestra while the recently renovated Ellie Caulkins Opera House is home to Opera Colorado and the Colorado Ballet. In addition, the complex showcases plays, concerts and musicals in the diverse space. The complex is located downtown, north of the Colorado Convention Center and contains several eating establishments.

Under the protective shell of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts you will find this portly statue. Your art-snob friends will tell you that this big girl was sculpted by Botero, a very important 20th century artist, and that Denver is lucky to have one of his works.
